It could be a good spring after all.
Here it is, January 19th and the prospect of a good spring run-off is looking better and better. We typically get most of our snowfall in April and things are looking up.
Of course, we need a lot more snow for THIS kind of happy times:
I guess what started me thinking of this was our trip to Durango this morning. I had a "follow up" visit with my surgeon to see how things were progressing. We stopped in Pagosa Springs on the way so Mason could go to the clinic to get checked out. He has been coughing a lot and running a fever at night. The did an x-ray and discovered pneumonia in his lung so he is on antibiotics for a while. We progressed on to Durango and I had a 3 minute meeting with the surgeon in which he pulled off the bandage, grabbed the tail end of my stitches, and pulled the whole thing out like he was unzipping a grain bag. Pretty cool. A two hour drive for a 2 minute procedure... (and who knows what that cost). Anyway, I stopped at 4 Corners Riversports and picked up my dry top (the very one in the picture above) since they had replaced the gaskets for me. I started looking at new boats and getting a little curious about some that were 40% off. Unfortunately, Sara and the kids were waiting in the van so that was the end of that fantasy....
