Yesterday was the first of several ski days the kids get this season. The Pagosa Springs homeschool group lets us join with them on their group days. The kids get a 1/2 day (whole day if they want it) lesson, equipment rental, and full lift ticket for some ridiculous price ($20.00?) It actually makes skiing affordable...
We had a great day and even though it was 9º in town, it was 24º up at the mountain and warmed up even more throughout the day. After their morning lesson, the twins really wanted to get poles which they don't use for the lessons. I said 'sure' so they ran off to get some from the rental place and then proceeded to use them for a perceived speed advantage while tucking down all the trails. Here's some video of the action:
